We are proud to celebrate a significant career milestone for Paton Malley, Civil Engineer at MacKay Sposito, who has officially earned his Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Washington. This achievement reflects Paton’s dedication to engineering excellence, public safety, and innovation, and further strengthens the expertise we bring to our clients and communities.
The Professional Engineer (PE) license is one of the most prestigious certifications in the engineering profession, obtained by only about 20% of engineers nationwide (National Society of Professional Engineers). Licensure requires a degree from an accredited engineering program, years of professional experience under a licensed engineer, and successful completion of both the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) and PE exams.
Earning this credential grants engineers the authority to sign and seal plans, submit designs for approval, and assume greater responsibility in safeguarding public health, safety, and welfare.
Since joining MacKay Sposito in 2021, Paton has played a key role in commercial, industrial, education, and residential development projects. His expertise in land use planning and land development has allowed him to design sustainable, innovative solutions that balance regulatory requirements, site conditions, and client goals.
Please join us in congratulating Paton Malley on this well-earned accomplishment. We look forward to seeing the continued contributions he will make as a licensed Professional Engineer.
