Project Description
The Main Street and Urban Plaza Park project in Silverton, Oregon, is a transformative effort to revitalize the heart of downtown Silverton through thoughtful design, inclusive community engagement, and infrastructure modernization. The project integrates placemaking principles with technical excellence, enhancing walkability, safety, and aesthetics while ensuring the infrastructure meets long-term maintenance and utility needs.
Throughout the project, the team will collaborate closely with city staff, stakeholders, and residents to ensure Silverton’s vision is honored and implemented. This includes addressing ODOT requirements, developing accessible and flexible public spaces, and transparently managing key design tradeoffs with the community, such as those involving historic tree preservation or underground utility conversion. By delivering a resilient, community-driven design, the project aims to boost economic development, celebrate Silverton’s character, and provide an inviting, multi-use destination for future generations.
