Project Description
The Fort Vancouver High School Advanced Manufacturing Center is a two-phase capital project developed by The Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools to enhance career and technical education opportunities. Funded entirely by a private donor, the project will deliver a 7,500 sq. ft. pre-engineered metal facility dedicated to welding and machining instruction. Phase 1 focuses on site master planning to determine the optimal placement of the building, considering construction cost, safety, access, utility connections, and long-term campus development.
Phase 2 will include complete civil design, surveying, geotechnical analysis, landscape planning, permitting, and construction administration. The design will incorporate approximately 1,750 sq. ft. of outdoor learning space and basic site improvements, aligning with a value-based approach to maximize student impact within a fixed budget. The facility is expected to be completed and operational before the 2025–2026 school year begins.
