Project Description

MacKay Sposito performed comprehensive surveying and mapping services for the City of Vancouver’s existing and proposed Public Works Operations Center. The project site, located south of East Fourth Plain Boulevard between Wintler Drive and Carlson Road, includes over 14 acres spread across 11 parcels zoned for community commercial and light industrial use. Services included detailed boundary and topographic surveys, with the discovery of historical monumentation and a Record of Survey filed to document findings.

In support of design efforts, more than 8,500 lineal feet of surrounding ROW were surveyed and as-built. The team recovered historic survey markers to determine the alignment of six intersecting streets, drilled core holes for precise monument placement, and installed protective boxes over new markers. A second Record of Survey was filed to preserve the accuracy of street alignments and monumentation for future reference.
