K12 & Higher Education Building for
Bright Futures.

We plan, design, and develop educational spaces that are safe, accessible, and accommodating. Our expertise in K-12 and higher education site planning prioritizes student safety through thoughtful land use design, providing healthy and productive environments that encourage learning and togetherness. Our campus environments blend with and enhance the surrounding neighborhood, making them true areas of connection and valuable community assets.

K-12 & Higher Education Expertise

  • K-12 Education

We know that K-12 facilities are unique and that site planning must focus on student safety by creating an open-campus feel with sight lines to playground and common areas for teachers and monitors. Thoughtful bus and parent vehicle routing and pedestrian connections are also critical for efficient and safe drop-off and pick-up of students.

When construction schedules are challenging and often non-negotiable, we will help you navigate important permitting processes to ensure construction occurs with minimal impact to teaching and student learning. We will also help you plan construction for remodels that require complex site phasing, always making student safety a priority.

  • Higher Education

Unlike K-12 schools, higher education facilities must accommodate the continuous arrival and departure of students from morning through evening. Our site planning and design for campuses consider pedestrian, bicycle, vehicle, and public transportation routes and interfaces. These facilities often drive the expansion of public transit routes and we understand the requirements for the addition of safe shelter areas throughout campus.

Higher education campuses are also constantly expanding and changing. Our approach to site design requires attention to existing utilities, a passion for student safety, and an understanding of construction phasing. We will help you develop a thoughtful and holistic approach to executing your campus expansion.
